Pop superstar Demi Lovato is set to release her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, on October 24. This new record, executive-produced by Zhone, marks a significant shift in Lovato’s music, moving away from the rock-influenced sound of her previous album, Holy Fvck, and returning to her pop roots. The album, which features 11 tracks, is being released via DLG Recordings/Island Records.
A New Era of Joyful Music
Lovato explained in a press release that the new album is a reflection of her current state of mind. Unlike past eras where she wrote “cathartic music about heavy topics,” she is now in a “happy” and “in love” place in her life. The album’s title, It’s Not That Deep, encapsulates this new ethos, with the music intended for “late nights and dancefloors.” Singles “Fast” and “Here All Night” have already been released, giving fans a taste of the new dance-pop sound.
Beyond the Music
In addition to her new album, Lovato has been busy with other projects. She recently appeared in the film Tow, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and is also set to release a cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom With Food, in March 2026.
