At just 15 years old, actor Owen Cooper has become the youngest male actor ever to win a prestigious Emmy Award. He was honored with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie for his compelling performance in the Netflix limited series, Adolescence. His historic win surpassed previous records held by Michael A. Goorjian (at age 23) and Scott Jacoby (at age 16), making him the youngest male actor to win in any acting category.


Bollywood Stars Praise the Youngest Legend

Cooper’s achievement has garnered praise from across the globe, including from prominent Bollywood celebrities. Actress Priyanka Chopra, known internationally, shared a video of the young actor’s acceptance speech on Instagram, expressing her “heartfelt joy” and “emotional pride.” Other stars, including Aditi Rao Hydari and Neha Dhupia, also shared their admiration on social media, with Dhupia calling Cooper the “youngest legend.”

A Humbling and Inspiring Speech

During his acceptance speech, a visibly emotional Cooper spoke about his journey. He revealed that he was “nothing three years ago” and that his acting career began with simple drama classes. He encouraged the audience to “step out of your comfort zone” and pursue their dreams, adding, “Who cares if you get embarrassed? Anything is possible.” His moving words received a huge round of applause from the audience.
